EPFO has launched the pensioner’s portal  https://mis.epfindia.gov.in/PensionPaymentEnquiry. The pensioner’s portal is recently launched service, available at EPFO website by which all EPFO pensioners may get the details of pension related information like Pension payment order number, Pensioner’s Payment Order details, Pensioner’s passbook information & other related information such as date of credit of pension, submission of pensioner’s life certificate etc.

It is helpful to know the status of their life certificate, in case of non-submission/rejection of life certificate of the pensioners.

Full utilization of Funds for Schemes implemented through VOs for welfare of STs

The budget allocation for the financial year 2016-17 for the following schemes implemented through Voluntary Organizations (VOs) for undertaking welfare of STs was Rs. 120.00 Crore and 100% budget allocation was utilized for the purpose: –

(1) Grant-in-aid to voluntary organizations working for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes,

(2) Strengthening Education among ST Girls in Low Literacy Districts

(3) Vocational Training in Tribal Areas

 NGO run projects funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs are considered based upon the annual inspection carried by the District Authorities.

Ministry of Culture has launched the scheme “National Mission on Libraries – Upgradation of Libraries providing Services to the Public” in 2014 for sustained development of Libraries in India. Also Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation under its matching and non-matching schemes provides financial assistance for development of public libraries for various purposes eg. Books, furniture & equipments, modernization, construction of library buildings, mobile library services, establishment of children corner, facilities for specially-abled readers, seminars/workshops etc. As library is a State subject, Government of India cannot enforce any National Level Policy on the States.

The approval was given in the 32nd meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee in its meeting held here last evening.
